At NIght

I feel you fall asleep, after the lost thoughts tear into you all day. After you are destroyed with the inner struggle of you and i. I feel you drift away to a safer place. I leave my body each night  and hover around you, study your peaceful face, your chest moving up and down, watch the pulse on your neck, your eyes flicker with movement as you dream of our life together, of your safe home. My spirit lays down beside you each night, i wrap my arms around your body, hold your hand as you sleep. I kiss your lips and watch over you my love.

I wake each morning between 4-5 am because i know you are awake.
